What to expect at our Events and Camps?
Here you find a list of what we dare to share.
Mostly we let all these aspects melt into eachother but also offer the following classes seperately to dive deeper into understanding and experience with a sense of clear and sharp focus.
BUDY Flow - A Contemporary Dance Meditation
This practice is created by Brigitte Breternitz and combines her broad 25 years of experiences in teaching dance, movement and Yoga.
A BUDY Flow Class is a fusion of a groovy fun dance class, a guided improvisation and a yoga dance sequencing class. It uses the knowledge of western and eastern anatomy but also gives the practitioners the chance to explore their very own body principles. The goal of this holistic training is to define your movement quality such as the life quality, creativity and individuality. It is about the ability to express truly authentic in the presence of the moment with the vocabulary of Vinyasa Dance as well as as your very own movements.
Vinyasa Dance
Vinyasa Dance is a modern movement vocabulary and practice which is growing globally because of its positive effects on well being and health such as the beauty of moving defined and concious. It is an infinite liquid fusion of Vinyasa Yoga and Dance, a constant movement of body, mind and soul. The classes are thought with a mindful collected mix of music related to the topic of the class. There is always space for individuality and time to feel the moving of the energy, our prana in between creative flows and strongly aligned Asanas and Dance Postures. This practice helps your movements to be fluid and creative while it also calms your mind and keeps you mentally and physically strong and flexible.
Conscious Dance
Dance is communication and pure bliss. Its a way to express what is without using a minds concept like language. Just the natural flow of the body, just nature itself. Dancing free and cconscious is pure healing to our physical, emotional and mental body. Through mindful guidance in this freedom one can explore the essence of life and the potential within. Being one with the music and the own rhythm the mind calmes down and the space is open to receive happiness.
Meditation
Meditation is a precise technique for resting the mind and attaining a state of consciousness that is totally different from the normal waking state. Meditation requires an inner state that is still and one-pointed so that the mind becomes silent. When the mind is silent and no longer distracts you, Meditation deepens. In our courses you will learn different techniques of Meditations as such as dance Meditation, breath awareness Meditation, body scan Meditation, mindfulness Meditation … and more.
Philosophy of Yoga
In our philosophy classes you will learn about the 8 limbs of Patanjali Yoga and we will discuss the Yoga Sutras in relation to our life as an Artist or physical practitioner with a passion for movement. We will learn about the ancient knowledge of Yoga from different angles and explore how we can use this way of living in our daily lives in the west and east. Specific readings will be assigned and discussed each week. These readings will be selected from a variety of great master’s reflections of yogic living, including the studies of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.
Western & Eastern Anatomy
Basic studies will include muscular-, skeletal- and nervous systems. These concepts will be applied in relation to the yogic Asana practice and different dance and movement techniques. These classes will be led by teachers who are dancers and experts in anatomy. Our approach is, to teach the students in understanding the principles of the movements of their body and how this complex system works at its best to set their full potential free. The Chakra system will be introduced and applied to specific movements such as Asanas and movement techniques. Chakra mediations and energetic alignment will be practiced regularly.
Movement research
These classes will support your anatomic understanding of the body in motion, as well as the relation between Asanas and several dance techniques. We want our students to experience their knowledge from the books - we combine theory and practice in order to find something new within ourselves. We search and dig deeper in techniques and concepts till we find our bodylanguage in the most definded way possible at a time.
Sharing and Contemplation
Within our sharing circles we will learn from and support each other at the same time. You will experience an unique unity and team spirit that makes your time at the Budy Academy a very special time for your personal journey. We also will give you time and space to be by yourself, to dive deep inwards in order to digest. We will encourage and support you to learn and share in many diverse ways. However, there will also be significant time periods for silent reflection besides studying. During these times, you will be encouraged to practice silence, solitude and meditation.
Singing Circle
From Mantras to world Music and original creations. Our singing circles are gatherings to simply share music. To create a sound of unity, to jam together and to connect through frequency. Every person in the circle has the opportunity to lead or follow, suggest or request a song. We are singing and grooving together beacuse we know that it feels good and opens our hearts. It is healing, activates our throught chakra and a way to express with voice and sound.
Art of Teaching
We believe that the most important aspects of teaching include: Respecting everyone’s unique individuality, honoring and communicating ancient traditions and empowering authentic expression in all aspects of our lives. In this Classes you will get the tools to teach Yoga and your Movement Art in a save and encouraging way, being authentic and as individual as yourself. We believe in empowering you to both - learn and teach. During the course we will focus on specific classical Hatha Yoga postures, Vinyasa Flows, Sun Salutations and Meditations. With a foundation in these understandings, we will then encourage you to be more creative as you explore “your” way of teaching.
